WE CONDEMN THE VIOLENCE AGAINST THE PEOPLE IN USA

At this time in history, as the our fellow brothers and sisters in America suffer we all in the world, whether Muslim, Christian, Jew, Hindu or  Sikh or any religious or even non-religous person , share their grief. The Muslims worldwide are as horrified as the rest of the world and are even more determined that whoever is responsible for such criminal acts, which are against all principles of Islam, is brought to justice. 

Like the rest of the world, the view of all people is that God will give strength and consolation to the families so terribly wronged in this tragedy. Our prayers are with them, and with their leaders to be especially vigilant that this tragedy is not used by people with their own agendas to manipulate and use the worlds most powerful army at this time to crucify and bring grief to any other families, of any group that is inconvenient for them. We feel confident that Bush, Blair and other world leaders will bring the guilty to justice in a 'civilized' way without expanding this human tragedy.

We all hope that this tragedy will bring a new era of understanding and wish for justice worldwide.

• The mass media, CNN, Sky News and various other newspapers, especially in the USA and UK that are controlled by pro-Israeli businessman like Rupert Murdoch and Lord Conrad Black, together with the powerful Jewish lobby and Israeli 'diplomats' have made sure that the media is not allowed to mention, not alone discuss the Israeli factor in the recent tragedy in New York. But worst was the fact that the media in the last week was used to stir up hatred against the muslims and push the American people towards war and make them attack a third world country, Afghanistan and efforts were also made by the Israeli secret service to try and involve the Iraqis, in the hope that they would also be bombed further. The efforts to stir up hatred against the muslims worked extremely well and numerous muslims, muslim-looking persons (brown skinned and turbaned Sikhs) and Asian women with head scarves were attacked and many murdered by the some of the hate filled Americans. Similar ugly attacks occurred in UK and Australia but not in Italy, France, Germany and other European countries. Zuli, Accra

• At the time of writing this message (Sept 22, 2001) there was still no conclusive evidence against any muslim group or the involvement of any country but the war planes and ships were already on their way to bomb Afghanistan and Iraq. Ahmed, Syria 

• A racially charged atmosphere exists at this time and scapegoats are being found to please the justifiable outcry for revenge. However, the people of the world, especially the muslims in the third world besiege the American people to find and punish the actual criminals and not crucify a whole people. People of America, look at the facts critically and introspect as to the causes of the recent tragedy, injustices in the world being perpetuated in your name and how your reasoning and views of the world are being conditioned and distorted (Hollywood films, media) by a few with their own agendas. America has been charged by various oppressed and poor people in the third world of hate crimes, of ignoring injustice and causing the death of hundreds of thousands of innocent children by blocking aid to the famine hit regions in the third world. All of us are praying for the victims of hate in New York, in America and all over the World. Let us now concentrate on reducing hate in our world and getting the guilty to justice in accordance with our own spiritual and moral values. Mehmood, Pakistan
