There is a belief that you only exists if there is someone else who says,or remembers and therefore states that you exist.

So if you were the only person living left in the universe, how would you know if you really exist or who you are?

However, this does not mean that you do not exist in the material sense. And this brings as to the question of matter itself.

Does matter exist without you and do you exist only as matter?

The consciousness (spirit or anima) is probably timeless and matterless and continues ad infinitum even when we leave the shells of the material body.
