Ever since man (and women)
came down from the trees (or maybe even before) they have been painting and
leaving signs of their presence in the caves and on rock surfaces all over
the world which have survived to this day. 
This instinctive need to express
something deep within our being has evolved and is still evolving. It is
greatly influenced by science, but how does art influence science?.
Without doubt Art and the
ability to imagine and overcome the limitations of material existence has
played an important role in the advancement of science and will continue to
do so.
Maybe science is just
another creative activity that evolved from this early and fundamental
property we call art
.
